Graton Resort and Casino Marketing Train rolls on
This weekend they will be attending the annual Labor Day Art and Wine Festival in Millbrae to hand out casino swag and run various promotional contests. Last weekend they handed out over 2000 t-shirts, hats, water bottles and key chains combined during the Oakland Chinatown Street fest.
They have been stationed near AT&T Park in San Francisco before games and have even sponsored a ticket giveaway that included a chance to throw out the first pitch at a Giants game. Yet so far they have yet to show up to anything local other than the Sonoma County Fair in Santa Rosa.
On the Graton Resort & Casino Facebook Page some local residents have pointed out just that when the Casino has asked, “Where should we take the Graton-mobile next?” Six Flags was mentioned along with San Jose but quite a few people mentioned local spots.
Jennifer Steffen of Sebastopol posted, “How about in Sonoma County, where most of your supporters live? Rohnert Park!” Cathy Slack suggested the Founders Day event on September 21.
As it stands they seem to be focusing on outlying areas with slogans such as, “43 Minutes Bay to Play.”
