Rohnert Park Police Blotter
The following information is from the Rohnert Park Public Safety Office’s Arrest Log from Jan. 30 to Feb. 5. For those who are curious about responses to all calls, the office’s website contains the most recent activity logs in the Calls for Service section.
Tuesday, Feb. 5, was a rather mellow day with a single arrest at 2:36 a.m. when a local man opted to drive while under the influence of alcohol near the intersection of Snyder Lane and Southwest Boulevard. He was taken to the Sonoma County Jail to reflect on his actions for the night.
A local juvenile started his day early on Monday, Feb. 4, when at 6:50 a.m. he was driving while possessing one ounce of marijuana, driving with an obstructed view and also possessed tobacco at the intersection of Francis Circle and Golf Course Drive. Later, at 9:23 a.m. another man was arrested for public intoxication at the Walmart parking lot. A total of five traffic citations were handed out over the course of the day.
Sunday, Feb. 3, was a moderate day for arrests however multiple party disturbances were investigated in the early morning. A local man was arrested at 1:30 a.m. for public intoxication on the 8600 block of Camino Colegio. Another local man was arrested on Mitchell Drive at 4:01 a.m. for battery domestic violence. Finally a local man was arrested for assault domestic violence with injury on Jacaranda St. at 23:47 p.m. to end the night. There were 13 traffic citations giving out on Sunday.
As some might expect, Saturdays tend to have a higher rate of crimes, and Feb. 2 certainly fit that bill. A Santa Rosa man and Rohnert Park woman were arrested at 2 a.m. on the 700 block of Santa Alicia Drive for petty theft and public intoxication. At 6:31 a.m. a Santa Rosa man was arrested on State Farm Drive for possession of a narcotic controlled substance. A Cotati man opted to hit some property with his car and then drive off while under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently arrested at 9:23 a.m. at the 7400 block of Mitchell Drive. A Santa Rosa woman was arrested at 1:11 p.m. for public intoxication while her friend was picked up for a DUI at 6340 Commerce Boulevard. Then at 3:50 p.m. a couple from Las Vegas was arrested at 640 Rohnert Park Expressway for conspiracy to commit a crime and petty theft of motor vehicle parts. A total of four citations were handed out.
By comparison, Friday, Feb. 1, was rather quiet. At 1:53 a.m. a local man was arrested for a DUI on Snyder Lane at Southwest Boulevard. A juvenile was arrested for battery at 9:21 a.m. at the intersection of Avenida Cala and Camino Corto. Then ay 1:08 p.m. a local man was arrested near the Northbound ramp of Rohnert Park Expressway for possessing some controlled narcotics. A total of five traffic citations were handed out over the course of the day.
Thursday, Jan. 31, featured a lone arrest at 5:05 p.m. of a local man on the 100 block of Madrigal St. for possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia. There were 11 traffic and parking citations giving out on Thursday.
Things started early on Wednesday, Jan. 30, when a local juvenile was arrested at 12:25 a.m. for reckless driving in a parking lot with passengers on a provisional license all while having marijuana for sale near Southwest Boulevard and Avenida Cala. At 3:31 p.m. a Santa Rosa man was arrested at 475 Rohnert Park Expressway for public intoxication, using offensive words, and possessing concentrated cannabis. His companion, a Santa Rosa woman, was arrested at the same time for the same charges. Another eight citations were handed out that day.
