The Graton Resort and Casino is still in the construction phase, but managers are already looking ahead to the Nov. 2013 opening by advertising for dealers.

Ads running in local papers are recruiting people interested in learning how to become dealers, offering 12-week classes to those who qualify. Instruction is free, but students will not be paid for time spent in class. Spokesmen have not said when hiring will start.

Read the online questionnaire for perspective dealers.

Table games will include blackjack, baccarat, and pai gow. Greg Sarris, the chairman for Graton Rancheria, told the Press Democrat’s Jeremy Hay that casino staff will have medical, retirement benefits and 401(k) plans. Along with the dealer positions, casino construction has provided a number of jobs for local union workers, Hay reports.

Are you or anyone you know planning to apply for work at the casino? Tell us in the comments.

  1. Am trying to apply for “BlackJack” dealer but unable to find the right form to apply. I sent out my RESUME 4 weeks ago to the Graton Rancheria office in Rohnert Park, CA they did call me to let me know that in a few weeks after they received my RESUME that card table jobs will be available, but i can not find the right forms to fill-out. Can someone please help me. Thank you.

  2. If you follow the link above for the ‘online questionnaire’ you can fill out the contact form. As of yet they haven’t announced specific hiring dates. If they run things similar to River Rock most likely it will involve a cattle call interview where they bring in a room full of people at a time to complete applications and go over job basics.
