Shuffle up and deal?
The Graton Resort and Casino is still in the construction phase, but managers are already looking ahead to the Nov. 2013 opening by advertising for dealers.
Ads running in local papers are recruiting people interested in learning how to become dealers, offering 12-week classes to those who qualify. Instruction is free, but students will not be paid for time spent in class. Spokesmen have not said when hiring will start.

Table games will include blackjack, baccarat, and pai gow. Greg Sarris, the chairman for Graton Rancheria, told the Press Democrat’s Jeremy Hay that casino staff will have medical, retirement benefits and 401(k) plans. Along with the dealer positions, casino construction has provided a number of jobs for local union workers, Hay reports.
