Swing into the holidays with the The Commanders Jazz Ensemble, from Travis Air Force Base, at 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9. The free performance features the SSU Jazz Orchestra, led by Doug Leibinger, with vocalist Bonnie Brooks. “The Santaland Diaries,” adapted from David Sedaris by Joe Mantello, stars David Yen, who works as an elf in Macy’s Santaland. The comedy begins at 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 and continues Dec. 7, 8, 14, 15. Price is $24 or $20 for seniors.
David Yen also stars in “Do It Yourself Dickens,” an interactive, read-along version of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. Warm drinks served throughout the show. Ticket price is $16.
