More gold medals for diver Nikki Watters
Nikki Watters, a 13-year-old from Rohnert Park, captured two gold medals and a silver at the CAMO International Invite in Montreal in early December.
That gives the Rincon Valley Christian eighth-grader five gold medals in two years at the prestigious Canadian event.
Her best performance was in the 3-meter springboard where she set a meet record while finishing in front of Lene Krueger and Christina Wassen, both from Germany.
Watters also took first place in the 1-meter springboard and missed by .70 in the platform.
She competes for the Stanford Diving Club where she trains six days per week.
Watters’ next meet will be in the spring in San Antonio. Her long range goal is the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Great kid doing great things!
