Santa Rosa Symphony performs – Simply Fantastique!
See the Santa Rosa Symphony at the Green Music Center for the American premiere of De Tiempo y de Metal, a classical work composed entirely for brass instruments by living French composer Martin Matalon and conducted by Bruno Ferrandis. The performance includes Saint-Saëns’ challenging Concerto No. 2 played by piano soloist Jean-Philippe Collard with stunning technical prowess. Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique, which draws on the tortured dreams of a love-sick young musician, uses the concert hall’s acoustics to maximum effect.
