A flat-screen television and other electronic items were stolen early Friday in a burglary at the Rohnert Park Animal Shelter.

The stolen items included a projector, portable phone, laptop and portable printer, the nonprofit Animal Shelter League of Rohnert Park reported Saturday. Most of the stolen items had been provided to the shelter on J. Rogers Lane as a result of the league's fundraising efforts.

The league now is seeking to raise $20,000 to replace the stolen items and to renovate the shelter with small group 'colony rooms' for kittens. The colony rooms will replace a system of cages.

Donations can be made online at www.animalshelterleaguerp.org or sent to the shelter, 301 J. Rogers Lane, Rohnert Park 94928.
