Green Center angel Weill can’t help but do well
By Chris Smith/THE PRESS DEMOCRAT
Everybody’s good at something. I pride myself on how clean I keep my windshield.
For Sandy Weill, one of the champions of the Green Music Center, it’s making and giving away dough.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Weill, the part-time Sonoma resident and former Citigroup chief, has just sold the daughter of a Russian billionaire a New York City penthouse apartment for $88 million.
Weill has said he’ll donate the sale proceeds to charity.
It occurs to me to wonder if he’s aware of the good works of Sonoma Advocates of Spotless Windshields.

Why doesn’t he give it to the Symphony?
I wonder if he could be feeling just a wee bit of guilt for his part in the collapse of our economy.
