Chain links help fight cancer at SSU

SSU Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity members collect donations in front of Stevenson Hall to help battle cancer
Every link in a paper chain reflects the fight against cancer at Sonoma State University this week.
Members of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity will be in front of Stevenson Hall tomorrow and Thursday, Sept. 21 and 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., showing their support in the fight against cancer by collecting funds for Lance Armstrong’s foundation, LiveStrong.
For every dollar donated, contributors are invited to write a note on a strip of paper in memory of someone who died from cancer, or in support of someone who continues to fight cancer. The links are connected, and thanks to the generosity of students and passersby, the philanthropic project that began today is already becoming a lengthy chain.
